A Clean Slate to Transform your 2018

Another year has come and gone. As the first week of the new year comes to a end, many of us have made resolutions or try to start the year off fresh with a clean slate. But for many others, they simply don't like the idea of having to commit to a new habit or they're unwilling to break an old one. I get it though - it's tough and it can feel like torture depending on what you're trying to resolve. Quit sugar? No way, man. I love ice cream too much! (my former vice). Cut out dairy? But, I can't live without cheese! These can seem like nearly impossible feats.
Interestingly enough, dairy, sugar, and gluten can all bind to opioid receptors in the nervous system similarly to as a narcotic does.
These foods are also also considered "food opiates." So, I think that it's fair enough to say that sugar, dairy, and gluten are more than "just vices." There is a real physiologic reaction happening in your body and in your brain when you consume them that can make it really hard for you to quit.
Depending on your individual physiology and where you're at with your own health, you are probably much better off if you cut out these sources of inflammation. Especially if you suffer from things like diabetes, hormonal imbalances (including thyroid conditions), digestive issues, hypertension, anxiety, joint pain, arthritis, skin conditions, or any autoimmune condition. Yup, you can see significant improvements in how you feel just by cutting out these 3 little things.
Trying to turn your health around can feel daunting. Where do you start? What can you eat? Do you quit cold turkey? (The answer's No to that one). My teacher and mentor, Andrea Nakayama, says it best - start low and go slow. It takes education, determination, and a lot of self-love. Slowly easing into new diet & lifestyle changes helps your body to adjust at a more natural pace, and it gives you time to really listen to your body as you eliminate these foods.
Transformation doesn't happen in a 3-day juice cleanse.
In my practice, a client can't even move towards more focused healing until we've first done all the necessary clean-up work - like eliminating processed foods, gluten, dairy, and sugar. Sometimes, that's all a person needs to feel their best! To help people get past this challenging first step, I've created a program called Clean Slate: A Fresh Start to Jump Start Your Health & Banish Your Symptoms.
Clean Slate is a 28-day guided nutrition program that eliminates the top most inflammatory foods that can cause a host of signs and symptoms like fatigue, gas, bloating, blood sugar imbalances, headaches, weight gain, digestive issues, and much more. It includes:
4 weekly one-on-one education sessions with me
A delicious, nutrient dense meal plan for the month
Direct contact with me during the program
Weekly food lists to keep the guess work out
An optional supplement plan to help support you throughout the detox
An introduction to eating whole foods
Tons of education on toxins, nutrients, battling cravings, increasing energy, and so much more
This program is designed to not leave you feeling deprived or hungry. It's designed to help you banish many of your symptoms, develop a new relationship with your body and food, and leave you with new habits that will help you to reach your goals and improve your outcomes. All with guided support during the entire duration of the program.
If you've tried different trend diets and didn't see results, and if you're ready for big change - this program is for you. If you're curious or have more questions, I encourage you to reach out to me for more information.
Until then, my dear ones, I wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year!
Much Love!
Crissy
